Triple Gem (Building Fund)

In 2009 H.E Garchen Rinpoche expressed the wish to establish a permanent centre in Singapore for his disciples and new practitioners to come together. Following Rinpoche’s aspiration and his generous providence of seed fund, our centre is now actively searching for a suitable premise for our permanent dharma centre at which to develop and spread Drikung Kagyu practices. To this end, we launched the Triple Gem Sponsorship in 2010 so as to raise the necessary funding.

We humbly appeal for generous sponsors to participate in this meritorious project. We can help realize H.E Garchen Rinpoche’s aspiration to spread dharma teachings far and wide, thereby amassing inconceivable merits for our future lives and for all sentient beings.

“Offering to the Triple Gem, your Master, or to the Dharma Centre are all classified as giving. If one can give a little money to the Dharma Centre so that the Centre can sustain for many years, and with that we can practice Buddha Dharma. Isn’t this a huge benefit? This is what we all have to learn and practice.”

Extract from ‘The 37 Practices of Bodhisattvas’, Drikung Kagyu Teachings by H.E Garchen Rinpoche

The Triple Gem Sponsorship requests those faithful and fortunate ones who delight in pure actions offer contribute one dollar a day for three consecutive years.  As in Year 1 – Offering to the Buddhas, Year 2 – Offering to the Dharma and Year 3 – Offering to the Sanghas.

Not everyone can make a one-off contribution; sponsors can pledge to make offerings on a monthly or annual basis. We rejoice in the merits of your kind generosity for the propagation of Dharma.

365 Days Auspicious Mother Lamp Sponsorship

Offering light, in particular, is a special door of dependent arising to quickly complete the accumulation of merit and receive blessings. It is said in the Second Chapter of the Root Tantra of Chakrasamvara (manifestation of Shakyamuni Buddha), “If you wish for sublime realization, offer hundreds of lights”. The lamp symbolizes the light of wisdom that dispels the darkness of ignorance. As expounded by Lord Buddha in the Sutra of Clarifying Karma, making lamp offerings would also allow one to receive great enjoyment of wealth, to be reborn in the deva or human realm, and to swiftly attain liberation and enlightenment.

The Auspicious Mother Lamp is constantly lit, symbolizing a continuous stream of blessing that benefit yourself and all sentient beings.

prayer-wheels

Prayer Wheel Sponsorship

Prayer wheels are an important element of Tibetan Buddhist practice, and they are very holy objects. They are cylinders filled with compassionate prayers known as mantras; when a prayer wheel is turned, blessings spread to surrounding sentient beings and the general environment. The blessings are multiplied by the number of prayers inside the wheel, thus multiplying the benefits. The teachings say that whenever a prayer wheel is spun, that location becomes a blessed holy place. Merely turning a prayer wheel brings great purification of negative actions, benefit beings in the lower realms and accumulation of merits.

Types of Prayer Wheels

  • Amitabha Prayer Wheel
  • Medicine Buddha Prayer Wheel
  • Vajrasattva Prayer Wheel
  • White Tara Prayer Wheel
  • Chenrezig Prayer Wheel
  • Green Tara Prayer Wheel
  • Padmasambhava Prayer Wheel
  • Dzambala Prayer Wheel
