Thirty-One Cloths Offering for the Glorious Drikung Lineage Thangkas

A thangka is a painted or embroidered banner of devotional images of the lama, yidam deity and protector. It is usually hung in a monastery and carried by lamas in ceremonial processions. The thangkas are important for viewing and worship, serving as an aid to the teaching and meditation through the visualisation of the deity. On a deeper level, thangka paintings are the visual expression of the fully awakened state of enlightenment.

Our centre has a total of 31 images of the great masters of the Glorious Drikung Kagyu Lineage readily printed. In order to fulfil the completion of these thangkas, you may now offer the cloth that frames up the holy images at $88 per piece. After the making of the thangkas, our centre will keep it for use during major events specifically during the upcoming annual 100 Million Amidewa Recitation Retreat 2014.

This will provide people who have come across the holy images with means through which one can offer prayers and convey their wishes towards ultimate enlightenment. Through the sponsorship towards the making of these thangkas, you are contributing to sustain the legacy and blessings of Tibetan Buddhism from the masters of the Great Glorious Drikung Kagyu Lineage for a very long time.

Rejoice for all the collective effort in creating the deep connection with the Drikung Kagyu Lineage masters. Since there is limited availability, you may like to enquire or register your sponsorship with Shuhui @97990080 or Ailing @96907015 immediately.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see these precious thangkas at the 4th 100 Million Amidewa Recitation Retreat.
